A Ring Group determines the strategy for routing incoming calls – it allows multiple phones to ring when one extension or number is dialed. A Ring Group can be combined with an IVR.
Types of Ring Groups:
| Ring Strategy | Description |
|
Ring All |
Ring all available extensions |
| Hunt | Take turns ringing available extensions in a specified order |
| Memory Hunt | Ring the first extension specified. Thereafter, ring the first and second extensions together. Then the first, second and third extensions, and so on |
E.g.: Select the desired ring strategy and specify desired behaviour. Example: hunt extension 100, then 101, and finally 102
A name for your Ring Group Example: “Sales” or “Support”
Specify alternative destination
Set an alternative destination in the instance that all extensions in the Ring Group are busy, or the call is not answered. Example: if no answer, go to voicemail
